Through the coca fields of the Yungas

The cloud forests of the Yungas are, alongside the Chapare, Bolivia's second major coca-growing region. But its subtropical climate also produces bananas, oranges, papaya, mango and coffee. A trip to the Yungas can include a drive along the notorious Camino de la Muerte ("Death Road" — also doable as a one-day downhill mountain-bike ride) and a taste of hand-picked coffee straight from a plantation.
