Over 12,000km² of blinding white salt, islands with fossilized coral reefs and giant cacti, and volcanoes over 5,000m high on the horizon. Driving across the salt flat, you can stop by Isla del Pescado, Isla Incahuasi or Isla Pia Pia, hike to the chullpares (burial towers) and the crater of the Tunupa volcano, and visit the pre-Hispanic ruins of Chijinia, Chulima or Alcaya.
