Nature and culture in Samaipata

The Samaipata region is a wonderful place to spend a few days, with plenty of short excursions and hikes: the four waterfalls of the Jardín de las Delicias, the pre-Columbian ruins of El Fuerte, the giant fern forest of Los Alisos, the rock paintings of Alto Mairana, the Santuario de los Cóndores and the La Pajcha waterfall. You can also visit a local vineyard or watch hummingbirds up close in a flower garden.
