Altiplano and Lake Titicaca (southern highlands)

On the drive from Cusco to Puno, you can stop at the colonial church of Andahuaylillas, the Inca ruins of Raqchi, and the pre-Inca ruins of Pucará. From Puno, a trip out onto the deep-blue Lake Titicaca can be done in a single day, visiting the floating Uros Islands and Isla Taquile, or over two days with an overnight stay on Isla Amantaní.
