Colorful river: Caño Cristales

As soon as the sun comes out, Caño Cristales in the Sierra de la Macarena puts on a magical display of color: sediment-free black rainforest water, small white-frothed waterfalls, and aquatic plants (Macarenia clavigera) glowing yellow, green and red beneath a brilliant blue sky. That's why Caño Cristales is also known as the River of Six Colors.
