Auf der Fahrt von Cusco nach Puno kann man an der Kolonialkirche von Andahuaylillas, an den Inkaruinen von Raqchi sowie an den Präinkaruinen von Pucará anhalten. Der Ausflug von Puno auf den tiefblauen Titicacasee ist an einem Tag mit Besuch der schwimmenden Inseln der Uros und der Isla Taquile oder an zwei Tagen mit Übernachtung auf der Isla Amantaní möglich.
