After having conquered the Inca empire in Peru and Bolivia the Spanish started exploring the highlands of Colombia and founded Santa Fé de Bogotá in in 1538. Bogotá nowadays is the capital of Colombia and together with Sao Paulo, Buenos Aires, Rio de Janeiro and Lima one of 5 big metropolitans in South America. In Bogotá we can go for a nice walk through La Candelaria, appreciating the interesting, often political graffiti, stroll around the central square Plaza Bolivar and visit the Museo del Oro which hosts the most astonishing collection of pre Spanish gold ornaments.
Erst nach der Eroberung des Inkareiches in Peru und Bolivien erkundeten die Spanier auch das Hochland Kolumbiens und gründeten 1538 Santa Fé de Bogotá. Bogotá ist heute Hauptstadt Kolumbiens und gehört mit Sao Paulo, Buenos Aires, Rio de Janeiro und Lima zu den 5 großen Metropolen Südamerikas. In Bogotá können wir sehr schön durch das Viertel La Candelaria spazieren, dabei die vielen künstlerischen und politischen Graffiti bestaunen, über die Plaza Bolivar, den zentralen Platz Kolumbiens, flanieren und das Museo de Oro, das wohl die beeindruckendste Sammlung präspanischen Goldschmuckes beherbergt, besuchen.
