Tayrona National Park is beautiful costal jungle with picturesque beaches, some of them to go for a swim. It is also home of the Tayrona which still habitat their villages deep in the jungle. Not far away from Tayrona there is the highest costal mountain range of the world, National Park Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta with its 5.775m high Pico Cristobal, the highest mountain of Columbia.
Der Nationalpark Tayrona ist wunderschöner Küstenurwald mit malerischen Stränden, an denen man teilweise auch baden kann. Auch ist er Heimat der Tayrona-Indianer, von denen noch ein paar wenige tief im Urwald zu Hause sind. Unweit von der Küste entfernt erhebt sich das höchste Küstengebirge, der Nationalpark Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta mit dem 5.775m hohen und vergletscherten Pico Cristobal, dem höchsten Berg Kolumbiens.
